从句、介词短语表原因大家掌握了没？掌握好了的话，让我们一起来学习用动词和动词短语表原因吧！动词表因果关系，大家首先想到的是 cause，cause 做动词时，表“造成，导致”的意思，尤其指造成不好的事情发生，cause 做动词表因果关系时，一般有三种用法：

The difficult driving conditions caused several accidents.（cause sth）

糟糕的驾驶条件导致了几起事故。

The bright light caused her to blink.（cause sb/sth to do）

明亮的光线迫使她眨了眨眼。

I hope the children haven’t caused you too much trouble. (cause sb sth)

希望孩子们没有给你带来太多麻烦。

除了 cause 以外，result in、 lead to、 bring about 三者都表示“引起，导致”的意思。

Your positive thoughts and words result in positive actions.

你积极的想法和言语会导致积极的行动。

New ways of thinking lead to opportunities and growth.

栖息地的变化可能导致某些物种的减少。

在使用这三个短语的时候，要注意一点：它们后面通常跟名词或名词短语。 contribute to 也是比较常见的表示因果关系的短语，它的本意是“对……作贡献”：

表示不好的方面时相当于“造成，导致”：

There are 6 main factors that contribute to depression.

导致抑郁症的主要因素有6个。

表示好的方面相当于“有助于”：

The increased taxes and the television advertising both contribute to the reduction of smoking.

增加的税收和电视广告都有助于减少吸烟。

飞行员的失误导致飞机坠毁。

A. The crash of the plane was due to pilot error.

B. Pilot error resulted in the crash of the plane.

C. Because the pilot error, the plane crashed.
